We are actively working to mitigate the negative consequences of existing digital technologies. But if we were to look ahead, what do we want the future to look like? What conditions do we set for digital innovations? Which public values should be guiding? And how do we make sure that citizens have a say in these matters? These are the questions I will be addressing in the coming years at the Rathenau Instituut.

Medical Technology (#MedTech) is a cornerstone - not only it is enhancing patient well-being - it is contributing positively to the upscaling of #economy. However, in the #Netherlands, the sector faces potential delays. Manager strategic partnerships Onno Huiskamp and managing director TechMed Centre #twente Remke Burie address this challenge through #Tech4Health, a Dutch National Growth Fund program designed to bolster the #medtech sector in the country. Emphasizing collaboration with small-scale, innovative entities, the program outlines a strategic focus on imaging technology, including #MRI and #ultrasound, as well as wearable medical devices (#wearables).The overarching ambition involves long-term development of innovations, applications on existing technology platforms, establishment of test facilities, and acceleration of Medtech to Market. Daniël van der Linden and Maroeska Rovers drive #tech2market acceleration path.
