    Sooo good!!
I only used 1/2 tin of coconut milk as I only had full fat and finished it with toasted almonds and coriander yum!
    Thank you

I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed the recipe and made it your own with the almonds and coriander! Using full-fat coconut milk can definitely make a dish richer, so adjusting the quantity was a smart move. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback!

I just made this and it’s absolutely delicious! (even though I slightly torched the cauliflower ). Very easy to make too. Definitely a keeper!
My curry powder tastes quite bitter so I used just 1/2 teaspoon, and completely omitted the soy cream cause I did t have any.
    Thanks a lot!

Absolutely delicious! So flavorful. I added a little curry power to the cauliflower when roasting to give it some additional heat. This soup has the perfect kick and a nice consistency. Easy and healthy. I paired it with some pea and potato samosas but this would also be excellent with some naan for dipping!

Great and easy recipe! I used my air fryer to roast the cauliflower which I also seasoned with smoked paprika in addition to the salt and pepper. Amazing flavors from such a simple recipe!

Roasting the cauliflower really adds to the soup. The only thing different I did was double up on the spice. We love curry. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

FAQs

Why is my cauliflower soup tasteless? ›

Bland cauliflower soup is a result of a lack of seasoning. Here's how to ensure every bowl is packed with flavor. Season twice with salt and pepper: You'll start by seasoning the cauliflower florets with salt and pepper before roasting.

How can I thicken my cauliflower soup? ›

Add flour or cornflour

Put a tablespoon of either into a small bowl and stir in 2-3 tbsp of the soup until you have a smooth mixture. Stir this back into the soup and bring it to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes to allow the starch granules to burst to thicken, and to cook out any flour flavour.

What brings out the Flavour of cauliflower? ›

This is true of any vegetable — boiling it will give you a flavor closer to the raw flavor, which means more bitterness and more astringency. Caramelizing it will bring out its hidden sweetness. This light, vibrant roasted cauliflower salad is a recipe I developed for the fall menu at Duo.

How do I increase the depth of flavor in soup? ›

Add acidic ingredients.

Foods that have a great deal of acidity, like lemon juice, vinegar, white wine, and tomato puree, can help liven up the flavor of bland-tasting bone and other broths. "The acidity of these ingredients works to complement and enhance the broth's flavors, not mask it.

Why do you soak cauliflower before cooking? ›

This process – which should last 10-20 minutes - destroys several microbes and large parasites. As cauliflower is highly susceptible to microbial attacks, it should be washed once again. This time, boil some water and put the cauliflower florets in it. Keep for five minutes and remove from the hot water.

Does Campbell's make cream of cauliflower soup? ›

Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Cauliflower Soup is a versatile soup that's delicious in a bowl or as an inspiration for easy weeknight dishes! Made with real cauliflower and cream, it contains no artificial colours or flavours.

Can you put milk in soup to make it creamy? ›

Yes, you can definitely add cream to your soup. Whether you use a few tablespoons or a few cups, cream gives soup a silky mouthfeel and rich flavor. You can definitely add milk or other dairy as well, though it will taste gradually less creamy as you go down in percent.

Can you simmer soup too long? ›

Does simmering soup longer make it taste better? If you're simmering a thing for hours, you will intensify the flavor by cooking off some of the liquid. This might make it taste better, but if cooked too long, it may end up too salty or otherwise be over-seasoned.

Can you add roux to soup at the end? ›

Broussard's favorite way to thicken soup is by adding a roux, which is a mixture of equal parts flour and fat (typically butter) that's cooked slowly over low to medium heat. Roux is typically the first step in making gumbo. But as a thickening agent, it can be added at any stage.

What is broccoli and cauliflower together called? ›

Romanesco, also known as broccoflower or Roman cauliflower, is a chartreuse, unique-looking vegetable prized for its appearance and mild flavor. It is sometimes assumed to be a hybrid between broccoli and cauliflower but is botanically different (although related).

Is cauliflower a blood thickener? ›

Atrial fibrillation (A-Fib): People with this condition are given blood thinners as they're prone to forming blood clots. Since vitamin K helps blood clots form, good sources of it like cauliflower can interfere with the A-Fib medications.

What to add to flavorless vegetable soup? ›

When I think of vegetable soup, I think of a thin, flat-tasting soup with no fat — aka, no flavor! Here's how we fix that in this Vegetable Soup recipe: Adding a parmesan cheese rind to the simmering soup infuses it with salty, umami flavor. This is SUCH an easy way to add tons of flavor to soup.

Why does my soup taste plain? ›

The most common reason your soup doesn't taste that great is because it's missing a brightening element. Soup can be heavy, creamy, and rich (that's why we love it so much). But too much richness tastes flat. Almost every bowl of soup can benefit from a zippy and fresh addition.

Is cauliflower flavorless? ›

Plain, raw cauliflower has a mild, slightly nutty flavor that's far from powerful.

Why does my homemade vegetable soup taste sweet? ›

Carrots and parsnips have a fair amount of sugar in them and can make a soup or gravy sweet if you use too many. Ditto onions, but if you only used one that won't be the culprit. Perhaps not the pickle next time.
