The crime drama Mayor of Kingstown is rich with complex characters brought to life by a talented cast. The series, which is the brainchild of Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and actor Hugh Dillon, follows the McLuskys, an influential family of “power brokers" who are responsible for keeping the peace in the titular city. While it’s difficult to parse just what the McLusky brothers actually do, their roles put them in the center of the complex web of politics and violence woven by the gangs, the police, and the prisons that define Kingstown.
The series’ future has been uncertain since star Jeremy Renner experienced a life-threatening accident, but Mayor of Kingstown has enjoyed strong ratings since debuting on Paramount Plus and is sure to continue. The series owes much of this success to its well-developed world populated by textured characters. While the series’ main actor, a bona fide Hollywood A-lister, gives the show some serious star power, the entire Mayor of Kingstown cast is impressive. The streaming original's ensemble boasts multiple noteworthy names, promising newcomers, and regular Taylor Sheridan collaborators returning for another outing.

Jeremy Renner As Mike McLusky
Jeremy Renner heads up the Mayor of Kingstown cast as Mike McLusky, the lead power broker of the family. Mike runs the town, earning him the de facto title of “Mayor." Renner is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the MCU, which has featured him prominently in some of the most commercially successful movies of all time, including The Avengers and Avengers: Endgame. Renner also reprised the role for a solo Hawkeye miniseries on Disney Plus. Additionally, Renner is a twice Oscar-nominated actor, for his starring roles as James Coughlin in The Town and Staff Sergeant William Jones in The Hurt Locker, and he led The Bourne Legacy.
Dianne Wiest As Mariam McLusky
Mariam is the widowed matriarch of the McLusky family who teaches at the Kingstown women’s prison. She’s played by Dianne Wiest, another prominent Hollywood name and an actress whose career has spanned over five decades. Wiest’s best-known roles include Peg in Edward Scissorhands, the moralistic Louise Keeley in The Birdcage, and single mother Lucy in The Lost Boys. More recently before joining the cast of Mayor of Kingstown, Wiest starred as Jennifer Peterson in the black comedy film I Care A Lot and as Joan in the CBS series Life in Pieces. She's a two-time Oscar-winner, for Hannah and Her Sisters and Bullets Over Broadway, and was nominated for Parenthood.

Kyle Chandler As Mitch McLusky
Yet another movie star in the Mayor of Kingstown cast, Kyle Chandler plays Mitch McLusky. Mitch plays a significant role in season 1 as the eldest brother, from whom Mike inherits the title of "mayor." Chandler has played several iconic roles in film and TV. Most notably, Coach Eric Taylor on Friday Night Lights, for which he won an Emmy. Chandler's other TV work includes the lead role of John Rayburn on Bloodline and Colonel Cathcart in the Catch-22 miniseries. In film, Chandler is Deputy Jackson Lamb in Super 8, Agent Patrick Denham in The Wolf of Wall Street, and Mark Russell in the Godzilla films.
Taylor Handley As Kyle McLusky
Taylor Handley plays the youngest McLusky son, Kyle, as part of the Mayor of Kingstown cast. He is a Kingstown PD detective in season 1 and a state trooper struggling with PTSD in season 2. Handley has been working steadily since his first role as Rory Buck in 1998’s Jack Frost. He has since appeared in such film roles as Jason in the Netflix hit Bird Box, Lance Corporal Corey Simmons in Battle Los Angeles, and Dean in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Mayor of Kingstown is not Handley’s first time playing TV law enforcement. He starred as Officer Nicholas Brandt in APB and Deputy Dixon Lamb in Vegas.
Hugh Dillon As Ian Ferguson
Hugh Dillon is the co-creator of Mayor of Kingstown and also plays Ian Ferguson, a seasoned detective for the Kingstown PD and Kyle’s partner in season 1. Dillon, like his co-star Handley, has seen plenty of experience playing TV law enforcement. He starred as Detective Mike Sweeney in Durham County, Constable Ed Lane in Flashpoint, prison guard Francis Becker in The Killing, and Sherriff Donnie Haskell in Yellowstone. Dillon's film roles include Tony in the 2005 remake of Assault on Precinct 13, Sonny in Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, and Curtis in Wind River, a film written and directed by Taylor Sheridan and starring Jeremy Renner.
Tobi Bamtefa As Bunny Washington
Tobi Bamtefa plays Bunny Washington, the leader of the Crips in Mayor of Kingstown. Bamtefa is a British actor whose theater work has seen him appear in numerous major productions for London’s National Theatre. Bamtefa’s TV roles outside the cast of Mayor of Kingstown include Nick in the Netflix comedy series Feel Good, Sir Danek in The Witcher, and another criminal, Godswill, in the crime drama Tin Star. Emma Laird As Iris
The persuasive escort Iris is played by Emma Laird, a former model and another British actor in the Mayor of Kingstown cast. Derek Webster plays Stevie, another Kingstown PD detective and an ally to the McLuskys. Webster is a prolific film and TV actor with over 100 credits to his name. No stranger to portraying law enforcement, he plays FBI deputy director Ben Isler on NCIS: New Orleans, FBI agent Ben Parker on CSI, and Detective Harrison on Desperate Housewives.
